Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Boonful ("the Service"), a publishing platform operated by Boonful ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

Boonful lets creators publish products — books, courses, videos, podcasts, newsletters, apps, and other digital or physical products — and lets readers discover, subscribe to, and purchase those products. The Service is provided "as is" and we may add, change, or remove features at any time.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU/UK) to use the Service.
• You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything that happens on your account.
• One person, one account. You may not share your account or sell it.
• The information you give us when you sign up must be accurate.

3. Content you publish

You retain ownership of everything you publish on Boonful. By publishing, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and deliver your content to the readers who have access to it. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to publish what you publish. You may not publish content that:

• Infringes someone else's copyright, trademark, or other rights.
• Is illegal, defamatory, hateful, or harassing.
• Contains malware, exploit code, or anything designed to harm a user's device.
• Sexually exploits children or depicts non-consensual sexual content.
• Promotes terrorism, mass violence, or illegal weapons.
• Violates someone's privacy or shares personal data without consent.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to send spam, marketing emails, or unsolicited bulk mail.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or to anyone else's account.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any system or network without permission.
• Use automated means (scripts, scrapers, bots) to access the Service in ways that interfere with normal operation.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except where this is expressly permitted by applicable law.
• Use the Service to compete with us by replicating it.

5. Payments and subscriptions

Paid products on Boonful are processed through Stripe. By making a purchase you agree to Stripe's terms as well as ours.

• One-time purchases grant you access to the product for as long as the creator keeps it published.
• Subscriptions are billed on the interval shown at checkout (monthly, yearly, etc.) and renew automatically until cancelled.
• You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are at our discretion and typically considered for accidental charges or undelivered content. Email support@boonful.io within 14 days of the charge.
• If a payment fails, we'll retry and may suspend access until the payment succeeds.

6. Creator payouts

Creators receive their earnings via their connected Stripe account. We take a platform fee disclosed in your creator dashboard. Payouts are subject to Stripe's payout schedule and any local tax obligations are your responsibility.

7. Termination

You may close your account at any time from your account settings or by emailing support@boonful.io. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if your use of the Service creates risk for us or other users. On termination, you lose access to the Service and we may delete your data subject to the retention rules in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Content published on Boonful is the responsibility of the creator who published it, not us. We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee any creator's content.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boonful and its officers, employees, and agents are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claim, demand, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, content you publish, or breach of these Terms.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be heard in the courts of England and Wales. If you're a consumer in another jurisdiction, you may also have rights under your local law that these Terms do not affect.
